From Dorm Room Experiments to a Viral Moment
I started making sugar paste in my dorm room—late at night, no business plan, just me trying to figure out a gentler way to remove body hair. I shared a casual demo on TikTok, and it exploded. Suddenly, something ancient and handmade turned into something modern and in-demand. Orders jumped from 5 to 500 overnight, and my friends, family, and neighbors stepped in to help me pack every box. That DIY energy still lives in everything we do.
Teaching, Not Sellling
Sugardoh grew through what I call “anti-marketing”—real tutorials, real results. The goal was to teach, not sell, and it turns out people love learning when it doesn’t feel like learning. With support from the Target accelerator and a lucky intro to Ulta Beauty, Sugardoh landed in 300+ stores. But no matter how big we get, our strategy is still simple: make stuff that works, and talk to people like real people.
A Simplier Way Forward
Sugardoh is now the most sustainable hair removal system on the market. Our sugar paste is compostable, our jars are reusable, and our mission is bigger than beauty—it's about giving people tools to care for their body, their way. Whether you're sugaring your legs, your pits, or not at all—we’re here for it. This is hair removal that feels good in every sense.
